DEVSECOPS ENGINEER

Are you a skilled and security-focused DevSecOps Engineer? Join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of our applications and systems throughout the development and operations lifecycle. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security practices into our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application architecture. Your expertise in security automation, vulnerability assessment, and best practices will be essential in driving a culture of security-first development and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security practices into the development and deployment processes.
• Design and implement security controls, tools, and automation to ensure the security of our applications and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security code reviews.
• Implement security monitoring, alerting, and incident response mechanisms to detect and respond to security threats.
• Automate security testing and validation processes within CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in the design and architecture of secure applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security vulnerabilities and risks.
• Stay updated about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevSecOps and application security.
• Provide guidance and training to development and operations teams on secure coding and deployment practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
• Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of security practices in a DevOps environment.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience with security testing tools and vulnerability assessment.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address security challenges.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
