LEAD QA ENGINEER

Are you a skilled and experienced Lead QA Engineer ready to lead our quality assurance team to success? Join us in defining and implementing QA strategies, managing the testing process, and mentoring junior QA team members. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the QA team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for software applications.
• Oversee manual testing, automated testing, and performance testing to identify defects and ensure software functionality.
• Lead the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
• Define testing processes, best practices, and standards to ensure consistent and effective testing practices.
• Report and track defects using issue tracking systems, and provide detailed defect reports to developers.
• Validate and verify bug fixes and new features, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Review and enhance the QA process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Mentor and coach junior QA team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the overall quality of software products.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging testing tools.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, challenges, and results to project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
• Proven experience as a Lead QA Engineer or Senior QA Engineer, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies.
• Solid experience with manual testing, automated testing, and performance testing.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and reporting defects.
• Leadership skills with a track record of effectively leading and managing QA teams.
• Ability to mentor and coach junior QA team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills to convey testing results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Enthusiasm for staying updated with the latest testing trends, tools, and best practices.
