SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Are you a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Administrator? Join our team and play a critical role in maintaining and optimising our technology infrastructure. As a Systems Administrator, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our systems, networks, and servers. Your expertise in systems administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance will contribute to the smooth operation of our technology stack and business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with IT teams and departments to understand technology requirements and objectives.
• Configure, deploy, and manage servers, storage, networks, and cloud-based resources.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security, and take proactive measures to address issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents.
• Implement security measures and best practices to protect systems and data.
• Conduct routine system maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and patches.
• Provide technical support to end-users and address their technology-related inquiries.
• Assist in implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new applications and features into the existing infrastructure.
• Stay updated about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of systems administration and technology infrastructure.
• Proficiency in server administration and management, including both Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of security best practices and measures for systems and networks.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to provide technical support to end-users.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
