SERVER ENGINEER

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Server Engineer? Join our team and take responsibility for the design, implementation, and management of our server infrastructure. As a Server Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our server systems. Your expertise in server administration, virtualisation, and infrastructure optimisation will be essential in supporting our technology stack and business operations.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with IT teams and departments to understand server requirements and objectives.
Design and implement server architecture, including physical and virtual server environments.
Configure and manage server hardware, operating systems, and virtualisation platforms.
Monitor server performance, availability, and security, and proactively address issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve server-related incidents and outages.
Implement security measures and best practices to protect servers and data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new applications and services into the server environment.
Conduct server capacity planning and upgrade projects as needed.
Document server configurations, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
Stay updated about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in server engineering.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
Proven experience as a Server Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of server infrastructure.
Proficiency in configuring and managing server hardware, operating systems, and virtualisation platforms.
Experience with server virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
Knowledge of server security principles and measures.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert - MCSE, VMware Certified Professional - VCP) are a plus.
