SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Are you a skilled and adaptable Systems Engineer? Join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our systems and networks. As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our technology infrastructure. Your expertise in systems administration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure design will be instrumental in supporting our technology stack and business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and objectives.
• Design, implement, and maintain systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Configure and manage servers, storage, networks, and cloud-based resources.
• Automate operational tasks and processes using scripting and automation tools.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security, and take proactive measures to address issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents.
• Implement security measures and best practices to protect systems and data.
• Conduct system upgrades, patches, and updates as needed.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and applications into the existing infrastructure.
• Stay updated about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of systems administration and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in server administration and management, including both Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with network configuration and management.
• Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of automation tools and infrastructure as code concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of security best practices and measures for systems and networks.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
