DEVOPS ENGINEER
Are you a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer? Join our team and play a crucial role in automating processes, optimising performance, and ensuring the reliability of our applications and services. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll contribute by designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Your expertise in cloud technologies, automation tools, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices will be pivotal in supporting our development and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to understand deployment requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Configure and manage containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system and application performance issues, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Automate routine operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure as code tools.
- Implement security measures and best practices to ensure data protection and system integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and services.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps.
- Provide support for incident response and system maintenance during on-call rotations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of infrastructure and deployment automation.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of system monitoring and performance optimisation tools.
- Understanding of security best practices and measures for cloud-based applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
