SYSOPS ENGINEER

Are you a proficient and detail-oriented SysOps Engineer? Join our team and take charge of the operational aspects of our infrastructure, ensuring its stability, performance, and security. As a SysOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our systems, applications, and services, while focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability. Your expertise in systems administration, monitoring, and incident response will be pivotal in supporting our technology stack.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to understand system requirements and objectives.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Configure and maintain servers, networks, and cloud-based resources to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Automate operational tasks and procedures using scripting and infrastructure as code tools.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
• Implement security measures and best practices to protect systems and data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and application-related incidents.
• Conduct regular backups, recovery tests, and system updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and services into the existing infrastructure.
• Stay updated about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems administration and operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
• Proven experience as a SysOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of systems administration and operations.
• Proficiency in server and network administration, including Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and automation scripting.
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of security best practices and measures for systems and infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
