CYBER ENGINEER

Are you a talented and proactive Cyber Engineer? Join our team and contribute to the protection of our systems, networks, and digital assets from cyber threats. As a Cyber Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate potential security breaches. Your expertise in cyber defense, ethical hacking, and security best practices will be pivotal in ensuring the security and resilience of our company's technology environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate closely with IT and security teams to assess cybersecurity needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Design and implement security measures to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
  • Monitor network traffic, systems logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
  • Conduct ethical hacking, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify and address weaknesses.
  • Configure and manage security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM platforms.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to manage security breaches effectively.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
  • Stay updated about the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and security technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience can be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, or similar role, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM platforms.
  • Experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, encryption, and security controls.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and virtualisation technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address cybersecurity challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Certified Ethical Hacker - CEH, Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP) are a plus.
